Prior to joining Bank of Albuquerque in October 2013, Pike was SVP, in the Commercial Banking Group at Wells Fargo Bank. Pike’s responsibilities will include development and implementation of a strategic plan to attract new commercial business within the local, regional and national markets. Pike is a graduate of University of New Mexico where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Eco - nomics. He also holds the designation of Certified Cash Manager. Pike is a finance committee member for UnitedWay of Central NewMexico, board and finance committeemember with Presbyte - rian Healthcare Foundation and Goodwill industries of NewMexico and treasurer of the Albuquerque ATΩ Housing Corporation. Clarence Hughes has been appointed to vice president and se - nior portfolio manager the The Private Bank. Hughes joined Bank of Albuquerque in September. Prior to joining the bank, he was a senior portfolio manager at U.S. Bank in Portland, OR. In his new position, Hughes will focus primarily on managing personal trust and agency portfolios. He will work with families, foundations, and corporations to develop their investment goals by utilizing a broad array of asset classes and sophisticated investment techniques. Hughes holds a BS degree from University of Nevada, Las Ve - gas, and is a Certified Financial Planner. He has been active with community boards, committees, and with Rotary International. Financial Institutions Division, Santa Fe Cynthia Richards, Director of the Financial Institutions Division has announced the appointment of Mr. Edmund Ortega as the new Bank Industry Manager for the Financial Institutions Division. Mr. Ortega has been with the Financial Institutions Division as Chief Examiner for more than twelve (12) years. His vast knowledge and experience with our state financial institutions brings depth and expanded analytical skills to the industry and to this vital position. Los Alamos National Bank, Santa Fe Michael Padilla has been hired at Los Alamos National Bank as vice president of commercial loans in Santa Fe. Padilla is a 25-year banker. The native of northern NM is a graduate of the University of New Mexico. He is active in community affairs, including the North Central New Mexico Economic Development District and NewMexico Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity Council. The Bank of the Rio Grande, Las Cruces The Bank of the Rio Grande, Las Cruces, has hired Stephanie Armitage as branch manager of its Northrise banking office in Las Cruces. Armitage started her banking career as a teller in 2009 and was promoted to branch supervisor in 2010. She earned a marketing degree from New Mexico State University. The First National Bank, Santa Fe First National Bank of Santa Fe has announced the promotion of Pat Murray to senior private banking manager. Murray has two years of service with First National and earlier eight years with First Community Bank, with extensive focus on serving private banking customers. She is a graduate of theWestern States School of Banking and a Santa Fe native. The bank has also announced the promotion of Kevin Flores to assistant vice president in commercial lending. Flores joined First National in 2011 and most recently served as a senior account manager in private banking. He is a graduate of theWestern States School of Banking in 2013 and earned an MBA degree from the University of New Mexico in 2008. n Computer Services, Inc. During his more than 10-year career with CSI, Sanders has enhanced the company’s internal auditing procedures, facilitating the transition from a procedural evalua - tion to a comprehensive risk-based process. Rather than utilizing a checklist approach to auditing, this systematic, consultative method improves the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes enterprise wide. In his role, Sanders leads CSI’s internal audit team in evaluating and mitigating risks associated with IT, financial and operational systems. He joined CSI in 2003 as an internal auditor. Sanders is a member of ISACA and the Institute of Internal Auditors. He holds several industry credentials, including Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certification in Risk Management Assurance
