He serves as a senior vice president and senior credit officer at the bank’s location at 8220 San Pedro Dr. in the Paseo Nuevo Office Complex. Croft has served in banking in Albuquerque for over 33 years and has a diversified lending background. He most recently served as a vice president at New Mexico Bank & Trust and earlier for eight years at Main Bank as chief credit officer. Croft is a NM native and attended New Mexico State Univer- sity, where he earned a BBA degree in economics. He holds an Executive MBA degree from the UNM Anderson School of Management and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado.  ABA Names Apodaca SVP/Ag & Rural Banking Former Las Cruces banker Steve Apodaca has joined the American Bankers Association as senior vice president of ABA’s Center for Agricultural and Rural Banking. He will lead all agricultural and rural banking policy at ABA, manage the Agricultural and Rural Bankers Committee, and provide lead- ership to ag product and program offerings, including the Na- tional Agricultural Bankers Conference. Apodaca has more than 25 years of experience in agricultur- al, commercial, and real estate lending. He has served at insti- tutions of all sizes in NM, TX, CA, and FL. Apodaca goes to the ABA fromWells Fargo Bank in Las Cru- ces, where he served as vice president and principal business relationship manager. At Wells Fargo, he was responsible for business development and community efforts. His agricultur- al banking work focused on onion, chili, cotton, pecan, alfalfa and grain producers as well as cattle ranchers. Prior to his time at Wells Fargo, he was a vice president at BBVA Com- pass for southern NM/West TX, served at GECU in El Paso for Southern NM and El Paso, a regional manager of commercial banking at First National Bank of Arizona, and vice president of regional business development at the former Temecula Val- ley Bank in CA. He began his banking career with South-Trust Bank in Miami, FL., where he entered the credit and manage- ment program. He earned a BBA degree in finance from Flor- ida International University.  Moore Named Bank Industry Manager for NM FID Rebecca S. Moore, a native New Mexican, has been chosen as New Mexico State Financial Institution Division’s new Bank Industry Manager. Moore began her banking career with the State of NM as a Financial Bank Examiner and has served almost two decades as a community banker in NM. During her career, she has worked for three community banks with branch locations in a total of 12 communities from as far south as Carlsbad, Dem- ing, and Las Cruces to as far north as Tierra Amarilla. Her varied experience includes operations, compliance, trust, in- ternal audit, loan review, project management, budget formu- lation, and strategic planning. Moore graduated with honors from New Mexico State Uni- versity with a BBA degree and from Eastern New Mexico Uni- versity with an MBA degree. She also graduated from the Southwestern Graduate Banking School (SWSGB) at SMU in Dallas.  Martinez Is Vice President, Regional Security Manager Bank of Albuquerque has promoted Christopher Martinez to vice president and regional security manager. His responsibilities include security man- agement, fraud investigation, and security training for Bank of Albuquerque, Bank of Arizona, and Col- orado State Bank and Trust. He joined the bank in 2013. Prior to his joining, he was Low- es corporate security manager and is a retired captain, New Mexico State Police. He holds a BS degree in criminal justice from Wayland Bap- tist University, is a certified trainer in Firearms, Use of Force, Incident Command System and Security Guards Levels 1-3, and is an instructor for women’s self-defense and security awareness courses. He is chairman of the New Mexico Private Investigations Board.  Turpen Promoted Bank of Albuquerque recently announced that Ly- nette Turpen, manager of the bank’s Montgomery branch, has been promoted to vice president. Tur- pen is a graduate of the Western States School of Banking. She joined the bank in 2012 and also pre- viously worked as a branch manager for US Bank.  Rodriguez and Schauer are Senior Vice Presidents at WestStar Bank in El Paso WestStar Bank, El Paso, TX, has reported the recent promo- tions of two officers. Socorro Rodriguez and Janice Schauer have been named as senior vice presidents. Rodriguez serves as a controller, responsible for various accounting functions, including financial accounting and reg- ulatory and tax reporting. She joined WestStar in 2002 and earlier was a federal tax manager for a national accounting firm. She has a BBA degree in accounting from the University of Texas at El Paso and is a CPA. Schauer is responsible for overseeing the bank’s indepen- dent loan review function. She joined WestStar in 2011 and has over 30 years of financial experience. She earlier served as a commercial lender with a national bank and with community banks in Albuquerque and Las Cruces.
