I am honored to be President of the NewMexico Bankers Association and it is exciting to work with many great colleagues across the state. It is also exciting to build on last year’s successes within our organization in addition to working on a state and national platform to protect and advance our industry. The NMBA serves as the most effective shield and sword to accomplish these goals. Regarding the state, John Anderson and I are gearing up for our NM Legislative road trip starting November 15 th in Alamogordo, 16 th in Carlsbad, 17 th in Roswell, 18 th in Clovis, 29 th in Farmington, 30 th in Santa Fe, Albu- querque on December 1 st , and concluding in Las Cruces on December 2 nd . We will be meet- ing with bankers and legislators to discuss our goals for the upcoming 60 day session in January! All of that being said, please watch out for several NMBA seminars including the Lenders Conference in March, and our NMBA annual convention June 8 and 9th. We have set the annual convention date early so you can mark your calendar to attend this excit- ing event. You will not want to miss out. Our meeting will be held at the beautiful resort, Inn of the Mountain Gods, in Ruidoso! Lake- side rooms are secured for all attendees, so stay tuned as the details and programs come together!
