Speaking of relationships, I am very excited about the NMBA Annual Convention to be held June 8-9th in Ruido- so NM at the Inn of the Mountain Gods. We have a great program in store for you, with great speakers in a beautiful setting to learn, relax and promote our industry. This year’s theme “Legends in the Field” will be headlined at our open- ing reception with one of New Mexico’s own, Cody Ross, Major League Baseball champion and MVP of the 2010 World Series. We have lined up lakeside rooms for every- one at a discounted rate which prices will be good through- out the weekend should you wish to stay over. Filled with golf, horseracing, gambling, skeet shooting, zip-lining and fishing, or sitting on the quiet balcony of your room, there will be plenty to do and enjoy! As this year’s NMBA president, it has been adventurous and exciting trying to keep up with John Anderson—from Albuquerque to Rhode Island, Nashville, Santa Fe, Clo- vis, Roswell, Carlsbad, Alamogordo, Farmington, and Al- buquerque (again), Washington DC and finally ending up in Ruidoso, any rock star would be envious to have those tour venues listed on his or her t-shirt. I am humbled and honored to represent our association and look forward to continued involvement with NMBA to protect, promote and advance the great things our banks do for our communities, our state and nation. 
